I am a work in progress – I am just like you. Really, I am! Yes, I run my own business and live my life as an online health and fitness coach in Lantana. I say all the right things, preach only those activities that promote a healthy lifestyle and I sure do come across as someone who has endless energy and confidence.
But truth be told, I am a work in progress just like you. And none of what I do have came easy.
I am sharing this with you because it’s important that you know the real me. I’m a wife and proud momma of three beautiful children and I struggle to keep up at times with game schedules, keeping the house tidy, running a business, taking care of myself and putting a healthy meal on the table each night. I don’t always eat the best, and as much as I love to get up and workout, I absolutely despise my alarm clock.
Oops. Did I just say that last part out loud?
I’ve battled depression, anxiety and Lord knows what else along the way. I’ve always been a fitness nut – keeping up with it even through all my pregnancies – but I joke that I was more of a pretender in those days because I didn’t follow it with healthy eating habits. For me, it was a “learn as you go” sort of thing.
But the difference between the old me and the new me is that I am empowered! A turning point for me came 10 years ago when my daughter was little. I was using various types of doctor-prescribed medications, and though I felt like I needed them, I didn’t like the way they made me feel. I was a faithful mom who knew life had to be better than being stressed, tired, low on energy and constant battle of weight up & down.
So I began researching how to live my life more naturally, without drugs. I began drinking lots of water, eating whole foods, working out in the morning before the stresses of the day could set in, and I cut out sugar in my diet. Before I knew it, I was sleeping better and feeling great.
The point behind this is I want the same for you! I am your coach, but I also traveled the road you are now.
Trust me when I say I still have my bad days, but I can help give you the necessary tools and encouragement to be successful in your health and fitness goals – whatever they may be – if you are serious about making a change for yourself.
I can’t say it will be easy. We will all go through storms in our lives. It’s inevitable, and it usually happens just when you start feeling like you have everything under control. Just the other day, my boys were practically bouncing off the walls and the doorbell was ringing at the same time as my phone was blowing up. I felt like screaming!
What I remembered though is that it’s normal, and everyone goes through it.
Let me help you take control. I want to help you make that commitment because I truly believe you won’t change anything in your life without commitment. If you have the desire to change, anything is possible. I am a work in progress.
