Many of you may not know this but it has been a VERY difficult couple of years for me and my family. I NEVER vent or complain any negativity, as there is way too much negativity in the world… but just wanted you to know that no matter how hard life can be, never let it knock ya down. My husband was unemployed for almost 2 years after previously making a very nice income and being accustomed to a certain lifestyle. This was HARD… BUT God was teaching us to be better stewards! During those 2 years of struggling financially, some months we didn’t know if we had enough money for groceries or gas money. We traded in my $70K SUV for a small hybrid and went down to only 1 vehicle for a while.
Thankfully we had my growing beachbody income to support us. Also during that time, we adopted our 16 year old nephew. So adding a teenager to the family, with 3 small children of our own, was a MAJOR adjustment. Over the past 2 years we have had to deal with teenager issues that include lying, sex, pornography, drugs, skipping school, failing classes and laziness. We have tried to guide him, love on him and provide boundaries that will set him up for success in life. Thank the Lord, we did get him graduated from high school and he has moved out on his own to be “a big kid” yet he is still lost.
In October 2013 I had a major accident that left me laid up in bed for a month and today I still suffer from the concussion. As a result of not “working” my biz, I lost my momentum. I was not there to support my coaches 100% so they lost their momentum… I have worked extremely hard to catch up and BUILD up new leaders on my team!
Today I stand a NEW woman, stronger in faith, more humble, more open that I am NOT perfect! I do not pretend to know it all, but I have given 100% of my heart & soul to my family, my coaches and my team. My husband & I are more united than ever and KNOW this was Gods plan. Praise the Lord, hubby is back to work at his dream job! We are finally able to breath financially and are setting BIG goals to be 100% out of debt in 1 year!
I certainly have made a lot of mistakes in my 3 years as a Beachbody Coach BUT you have to fail to succeed! Failing Forward is one of my all time favorite books because it taught me that I didn’t have to know it all or be perfect at everything… failing in part of life and I have gotten really good at it! 🙂
I am totally blow away at the amount of love and support we have on our team… we are a family! We HAVE to rely on each other, support each other and lift each other up! And in the end, I know I have to have fun with my “JOB” because this opportunity is the best BLESSING of all!!!!
